“The puma checks the trail. Yes, the scent is fresh.”

“Step by step, the puma closes the gap. The water buffalo looks panicked.”

“The puma has the water buffalo cornered. The time has come to spring.”
“Come on, mom. This is getting serious.”
“Oh, for heaven’s sake, you big chicken. I’m just playing.”
“Okay then. I guess that no dog’s land got me spooked.”

Oh, my gosh! I always think about that, too! (And I admit to singing it a lot more often than I see it mentioned here. Though “Oh Where Is My Hairbrush?” is my go-to song. You can change “hairbrush” to anything that’s missing. It’s very versatile.) 😊

Twiggy and Lucy’s adventures are always so fun for your readers. By the way, are you happy with your turf? Does the rain seep through that material?

The material has holes on the backing that allows water to permiate to the soil. We are very happy with it. Underneith is crushed granite which acts as a weed barrier. Still some tough weeds grow through. Each season the weeds get less and less.

I love the idea of the Wilderness in your backyard, that never fails to impress me. They have such a lovely place to play and roam. They’re lucky dogs, alright. I’m gonna be watchin’ for that puma 🙂

Oh, they’re fine, and bark when strangers come around. Admittedly they worry me when I have to work beside the wall and they start jumping. They’re big dogs and the wall is only 4 ft high. The biggest one easily jumps high enough that his head and shoulders are above the wall.
