Thursday – A Little Personal – Tempeste on Her Own.

“Twiggy. Dad opened the yard. Want to go play?”

“Still pretty hot for me.”

“It isn’t even a hundred. What’s the problem?”

“No problem. I just like to go out when it’s cooler.”

“Well, okay. I’m going out to see what’s what.”

“Okay. I thought you and Mom were going to the plant store.”

“We are. But I have time.”

“This is a big place.”

“Feels good on the back.”

“I wonder if I can run the whole yard.”

“Or maybe lie around in the whole yard.”

Okay, Mom. I’m coming.

“This is a pretty waterfall. Do all plant stores have these?

These smell good. I could see these in our yard.

Okay, this I understand. I’m not one for hoses.

“Well, how did it go?”

“The plant store was interesting, but it is good to be home.

“Yeah. Home is like that.

  5. I love the way Twiggy is sitting on that step. Very nonchalant! As for going for a solo outing with Mom, that must be fun. That plant place looks like somewhere I would spend a lot of time (and money!)

  7. When I saw that fountain, I thought, “This isn’t my mother’s garden shop.” Of course, the fountain may have seemed especially appealing because of our recent heat. Do the girls get one-on-one time with mom on a regular basis?

    1. Unfortunately, together they are mayhem waiting to happen. They each get time with Mom. Tempeste has been trained to be good in public. Twiggy never got the memo. So Twiggy’s time is usually long walks.

  9. How nice that Tempeste got to go on an outing with Mom. And to a plant shop! Twiggy was probably happy to have a bit of alone time too. What a couple of sweeties.

  21. Tempeste is blessed with youth, her fascination winning over the heat. Twiggy is thinking, been there done that. Kinda how I feel. Nice to know Twiggy and I have so much in common. Love when she says…home is like that. 🙂

  25. What a pretty waterfall! I imagine that plant store is a pretty popular place when the temperature rises. And I love the way Twiggy is sitting in your second photo — like she’s bellied up to the bar and waiting for a tall, cool drink, ha!

    Twiggy, staying home is good too! I like home, and do not go out to walk when it hits 80. (that is including humidex)

    Long walks, not over 75.
