“I can smell you, Tempeste.”
“That’s not a nice thing to say.”

“Well, when someone is trying to sneak up on someone else, you have to go downwind.”
“What does downwind mean?”

“Your scent carries with the wind, so you have to move to where the wind is blowing at your face, not your rear.”
“How do I do that with a ceiling fan blowing the wind in all directions?”

“That is a tricky part. Maybe it’s best to stalk someone outside.”
“Well, we are inside now. Got any tips?”

“Put your nose down. What do you smell?”
“Just a couch. I can’t get your scent.”

“Yeah, that’s cause I am on the side of the fan moving air towards me.”
“Oh, I get it. I’m on the side of the fan that carries my scent to you.”

“I think you have it. If you want to sneak up on me, you have to go around the back of me.”
“Now that is a hard thing to do for sure.”
”
“Give it a try.”
“Okay, so I’m going to move off to your left.”

“Very good. You are almost out of the fan’s influence.”
“What do you mean, almost?”

“You would have a better chance if you went through Dad’s office and came up behind me.”
“That is a long way to go.”

“Wouldn’t it be worth it to catch me by surprise?”
“Now that I’m here, I would say it would be. To jump you unannounced is the best.”
“Best for you, I would say. Not so much fun for me.”
“Makes me wonder why you teach me the skill to do it, then.”
“Sisterly love.”

Twiggy’s job is to teach Tempeste how to take care of herself; not use those skills on her teacher! Fun stuff, John.

Of course, not too many others in the house to stalk. 😀. Thanks, Dale.

I love that you have steps for the kids to climb up on the furniture. I just showed hubby, who was also impressed. Twiggy is such a good big sister.

These Frenchies need them, especially Twiggy. Jumping down is very bad for the back. ( Like Tempeste is doing in the 8th photo.) Thank you, Darlene. Like we say, “We live for these two.”

Thank you, Charles. The stairs are a must to keep Twiggy from hurting herself.

This reminds me of the old rule for stalking: “Stop often ‘n’ set frequent.”

We used to love seeing Twiggy stalk the geckos at the coast. She never caught one.

Got any tips? I love that, love when Twiggy becomes Tempeste’s mentor. Like teaching a young kid a thing or two. Downwind made me laugh. The things we girls have to worry about. And let’s hear it for sisterly love…can’t beat it. 🙂

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen the Monk stalking. I wonder if he’d know how! “Sisterly love” comes through loud and clear here!

Thank you, Debbie. I’ll be if a critter came into the yard, he would stalk.

Adorable as always! I love big sister Twiggy sharing wisdom with her little sis.
And boy are they spoiled! All those stairs to reach the sofa. You can tell who reigns supreme in that room–and it isn’t the two-legged, LOL!
