Today, we are visiting Lake Travis in Lakeway. Since the heavy rain last week, the lake is completely full. I thought it would be fun to take a look at the lake at its lowest point and then see how it looks today at its highest. We are catered by ATX Cocina Restaurant in Austin. Our entertainment is David Bowie.

The police don’t want folks parking near the lake since it is still rising.
Well, that’s it. Time for some food and music. I hope you have a great week.

Amazing difference…you are definitely looking at a “sell/no sell” real estate situation, timing is everything 🐳

Yes. How would it be to buy a place on the lakefront only to have it turn into a grass plain? Would be irritating for sure. Thanks, Jim. 😊

For sure…now we’re talking “buy/no buy” which as you say, is really irritating, . Plus very costly…l hate that when it happens🐳

I do too. I have always had the strategy of buying high and selling low. Seems to have worked out. 😄

Thank you, kind sir. I’m off to mow my jungle. My goodness. The front barely grows and the back is outta control!

John, great pictures. Your before and after shots are amazing. That happens around here sometimes and it is awful. But the waters generally recover. Tough on people with boats at their backyard docks. The boats nearly sitting on the sand-dirt bottoms. Nature is always a guessing game.
PS: tell James he gets up too early !!

Ha ha ha. James does get up way too early for sure. All those folks who had their docks sitting on dry land are very happy now. Thanks, Tom.

Such a contrast to see, John. I remember once at Clearlake, they were talking about selling homes out in the middle of the lake since it had gone down sooo much and then it filled up again.
Enjoy the delicious meal! 💕

There is a line here that people are not allowed to build below, no matter where the lake is since it does rise and fall.

That poor lake looked like a goner in 2022. Hurray for the rain! Nice to see Bowie in his Ziggy Stardust persona.

I agree. I thought the lake was a goner. But here we are. I enjoyed the video, too.

Glad you all got some rain! And a lot! We are having the drought problems here, but just had three days of rain to help. Just not enough. This rain/no rain seems to be cyclical.
Have a super rest of the weekend., and I do like chilaquiles.

They’re beautiful views both with low water and a nice full lake. I’m am happiest that the lake is full and rising though.
