“That elf by the stairs you mean?”
“Yeah. Where has this been all my life?”
“I’m sure you have tripped over it at least five times today.”
“But now it’s like a long-lost love.”
“Tempeste. Get a grip. I think you are getting cabin fever.”
Thanks goodness for Twiggy and her common sense approach to life… although I do sense sometimes her patience wears a little thin. lol hugsx

Twiggy is hogging the marshmallow. She really loves that toy. We are going to walk Rollo in a couple of hours while it is still not too hot.

That is terrible but almost the same here. The eveming walks are shorter but Rollo likes them. However, he does not have a short snout and we bring with us plenty of water for him to drink and fur us to put on his belly or nose. There is no point in putting water on thick fur because it clumps, hold in heat, and may make it worse, at least if you are outside long.

We have had a 5 day heatwave here where the feels like is over 100. I can feel their pain. I hate go out after 10am.

It’s wise to stay inside when it’s that hot girls. It’s cooled down slightly here, thankfully. 28C to 32C we can deal with, not 40C!! Thankfully Twiggy and Tempeste have lots of fun toys to play with. xo

It’s a delight to start the morning with the girls, John. Tempeste walking over her toy all day before noticing it made me laugh. Thanks for letting us visit. The weatherman said that on Sunday, the high here might “only” be 94. I’m not sure that I dare to hope.

She would do that for sure. She would also give you a nuzzle if she thought you were stressed. Thanks, Lois. When I complain to her about my little troubles, she looks at me in the eye. Next, I hear myself saying, “I’m being silly, right?” Then the nuzzle and the psychology session is over.

Good idea. I, on the other hand WILL go out and take advantage of it as it is 75 but feels like 88 and at this time of the year, there will be fewer and fewer occasions to soak in said rays 🙂

It’s always good to see light at the end of the tunnel though. We all need hope. We’re still in the 90F range like nature is stuck but the mornings are crisp so hopefully it’ll level out soon. 🤞🏻
